  • SHELBYVILLE PARKS DEPARTMENT
    During the Kenko Challenge you can get a 10% discount on a 16 Punch or a 24 Punch card for the Shelbyville Parks Department Fitness Room. The fitness room is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00am–7:30a.m., 3:30pm-6:30pm and 7:00pm-8:00pm, and then on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm-8:30pm to the public.  For more information go to www.shelbyparks.com.
  • WATER AEROBICS
    Shelbyville Parks Department offers Water Aerobics to 16 year olds and up. The cost is $28.00 per month and it is offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:15pm – 8:15pm and another class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm–7:00pm. Register by the 1st of each month at the Parks Department, 945 S. Tompkins Street.
  • LAP THE COMPETITION
    Lap Swim is offered through the Shelbyville Parks Department on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-7:00pm and again on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:15pm-8:15pm at the Shelbyville Middle School. The cost for this activity is $16.00 per month for 2 days and $30.00 per month for all 4 days. Register by the 1st of every month at the Parks Department, 945 S. Tompkins Street.
  • ZUMBA (a Latin inspired, calorie burning dance fitness class)
    Held Monday morning from 9:00am-10:00am, Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm-6:30pm and 7:00pm-8:00pm and on Saturday mornings from 7:30am-8:30am in our gym at the Carl McNeely Civic Center located at 945 S. Tompkins Street. First class is free, then you can pay $5.00 per class or punch cards are available. Instructors are Theresa Hopper and Angela Badgley.
  • IS SOFTBALL YOUR SPORT????
    If so, time to register is now…, March 4th through 29th, the cost and $375.00 per team for men’s upper and lower leagues and coed and church coed for early registration and $425.00 per team after March 29th for late registration. $35.00 per person for 45 & Over.     You can walk at the Shelbyville Parks Department gymnasium every Monday thru Friday from 7:00am-9:00am and then again from 1:00pm-2:00pm. 15 times around the gym perimeter is equal to 1 mile.

    Just about time to get outdoors to get your WALK on!!!!!! Half mile trail available at Sunset Park, 410 River Road, also at Blue River Memorial Park, 725 Lee Boulevard, a trail that connects to the fishing pier and the Southeast Corridor (better known as Progress Parkway).

    Are you looking for something active for your kids to do????? Shelbyville Parks Department offers Junior Tennis Clinics, Hook a Kid on Golf, Girls Fast Pitch Softball, Soccer and Daycamp. For more information call 392-5128.
  • IF LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE, ONE GAME OF KICKBALL WILL HEAL YOU!!!Get your adult coed kickball team together, register in April for first session and June for second session.
